Full Name: Demonstration and Extension to close the economic yield gap & maximise farming systems benefits from grain legume production in SA
Funding Body: GRDC delivered in partnership with SARDI
Aims to annually plan and design trial and extension activities and objectives to assist growers in better managing economic opportunities and risks associated with growing grain legumes as a part of their farming system.
Trials will address key grower knowledge and implementation gaps relevant to each sub-region and will be approved by GRDC.
For the life of the project, Upper North Farming Systems will work with sub-regional extension partners to establish, plan, arrange, promote, manage, facilitate activities to extend learnings of local trial activities and major validation sites. These may include crop walks, field days, shed talks, peer group discussions, bus tours, and technical workshops.
