Profitable Crop sequencing in the low rainfall areas of South Eastern Australia

The GRDC Low Rainfall Crop Sequencing project investigated how different breakcrop options affect low rainfall farming systems over 4 years. As part of this project a series of one or two year break phases were grown in the Upper North (Appila) followed by two or three years of wheat and compared against continuous wheat. The trial has been invaluable in evaluating the economic performance of wheat after a range of different break options.
